Free/Reduced Cost
Home Energy Assessments

Eligibility
To qualify for NYSERDA's free/reduced cost residential home energy assessment you must:
1) Own the 1-4 unit residential building;
2) Have a total household income at or below the limits indicated below;
3) Have not previously received a free/reduced cost assessment; and
4) Provide a 12-24 month summary of the electric and heating usage for the building.

Additional Assistance for Income Eligible Households
Households earning less than 80% of the state median income may also be eligible for a 50% assisted subsidy towards qualified improvements made through Assisted Home Performance with ENERGY STAR
®.
