Mortgage Forbearance Options

Many households were offered mortgage forbearances to defer loan payments while their income was reduced during COVID. People are now at the end of their forbearance period, and will need to make a decision about how to repay the skipped payments.

Options may include a loan modification to reduce payments or place delinquent payments at the end of your loan. Or, you may qualify for mortgage assistance programs through the city of Albany and town of Colonie.
