in Homeownership Education
- AHP facilitates quarterly meetings of the Capital Region chapter
of the NYS Coalition for Excellence in Homeownership Education (CXHE).
The chapter offers continuing education programs that help area
counselors meet the National Industry Standards for Homeownership
Education and Counseling. AHP has adopted these standards. Learn

United Tenants of Albany
- UTA provides advocacy for tenants throughout Albany County. UTA played
an important role in the creation of several related initiatives including the
Albany Community Land Trust and Community Loan Fund of the Capital Region.

NeighborWorks®
Network - AHP is involved in an innovative
collaboration with
TRIP, the
region’s only NeighborWorks® organization. TRIP
invited AHP,
Better
Neighborhoods Inc. and the
Albany County Rural
Housing Alliance to join with them to access the resources of
NeighborWorks® America
to better promote affordable homeownership opportunities and offer
housing services to underserved communities throughout the Capital
Region.
HomeSave - AHP is the
lead organization in an innovative anti-predatory lending project called HomeSave. Project partners include:
Albany
Community Land Trust - AHP works closely with the Albany Community
Land Trust to redevelop homes for permanent affordable ownership throughout the City
of Albany.
Capital Affordable Housing Funding Corp. - AHP's affiliate was
founded in 1989 to pool low-cost mortgage lending capital with
flexible underwriting criteria. The lending consortium has financed over $21
million in affordable low and moderate income home purchases and rental project financing.
Key
Bank - AHP has partnered with Key Bank to offer the "Credit
Yourself"
money management workshops.
Matched Savings Program- The
Capital District Individual Account (CDIDA) program is offered in conjunction with
nonprofit partners and area lenders. Click

Delaware Area Neighborhood
Association - AHP administered a successful "Live Near Your Work"
incentive program which was sponsored by the neighborhood association and
available to all employees of University Heights employers.
