O’Connell & Aronowitz, First Niagara Mortgage and TL Metzger & Associates named 2006 Corporate Partners of the Year

December 27, 2006 - Albany, NY – The Affordable Housing Partnership announced today that they have selected O’Connell & Aronowitz, First Niagara Mortgage and TL Metzger & Associates as their 2006 Corporate Partners of the Year.  The three companies sponsored a major fundraising event this year that raised nearly $8,000 for the benefit of the Partnership.

The June 8^th event, hosted by O’Connell & Aronowitz featured food, music and a silent auction, all donated by local businesses.  One hundred percent of the proceeds were donated to The Affordable Housing Partnership.

“O’Connell and Aronowitz has been serving our community for over 80 years.  We are committed to giving back to this area by investing some time in local community activities that help our area grow and flourish”, explains Jami Durante Rogowski, a member of the law firm of O’Connell and Aronowitz.  

“We were glad to bring our clients and business associates together for a fun evening to help a great organization”, said Tracy Metzger of TL Metzger & Associates.

“First Niagara Mortgage was honored to be a host of this fundraiser for an organization we have supported for many years”, added Rich Norelli of First Niagara Mortgage.

“The Affordable Housing Partnership is very grateful to these wonderful partners and contributors”, said Susan Cotner of the Affordable Housing Partnership.  “We greatly appreciate the hard work and commitment of these companies to support the work of the Partnership and other non-profit housing organizations.”

The Partnership assists over 1000 low- and moderate-income families each year through counseling, education and financial assistance programs.  The homeownership programs offered by the Partnership strengthen neighborhoods and enhance the quality of life for all residents in our community.
