Reduce your energy usage by adding insulation to your home, upgrading your heating and cooling systems and making sure that you have made the switch to LED lighting. You’ll save money and your home will feel more comfortable.

The New York State Energy Research and Development Authority (NYSERDA) has several programs to help you pay for improvements whether you are a renter or a homeowner. As a contractor to NYSERDA, the Affordable Housing Partnership can assist you in applying for the right program.

NYSERDA Programs include:

Empower+: For households who are HEAP eligible, NYSERDA offers up to $10,000 to assist with air sealing measures, insulation and heating upgrades. For moderate income households, receive 50% of a project cost up to $5000.

Market Rate or Comfort Home: Even if you don’t qualify for the incentives above, you still qualify for a home energy assessment and access to favorable financing. In addition, there are incentives for transitions to air source or ground source heat pump systems and tax credits for solar installations.
